Manuel Pena, 26, Charged With Two Counts of Murder in Meridian Township

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Today Manuel Pena was arraigned on 2 counts of murder for the deaths of Jeffrey Ballor and Kristin Pangman this weekend.

Pena refused to say his name while being arraigned.

Pena is also being charged with armed robbery, larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, and a felony firearm count.

He has previously been arrested in 2009, for breaking and entering.

No bond was set.


ORIGINAL STORY: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On January 21, Meridian Township police answered a call to a possible homicide on the 3300 block of Lake Lansing road.

After entering the home, officers found two dead victims.

A man was arrested Saturday night in connection to possible homicide. No more information released on Sunday. Police say the suspect should be in court on Tuesday.

Meridian Township Police say Michigan State Police crime lab is helping with this case.
