MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - After about a nine month long process, Gordmans is finally open in Meridian Mall.

Gordmans hosted their ribbon cutting and preview shopping event Wednesday evening. Store associates, media, bloggers, and guest were all welcomed to come shop before the department store officially open's its doors Thursday at 9 am on July 16, 2015.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony store manager, Kathy Richardson presented a check for 2,500 dollars to Okemos Public Schools to launch the Gordmans' Partners in Education fundraising events. Gordmans has selected Hiawatha Elementary as their partner school.

When asked if Gordmans is concerned with the competition from all other surrounding department stores, Richardson said,"Not at al!" "We're an awesome retailer! We've got great associates, great gifts. We've got great clothing, we've got great home goods. Gordmans is expect the unexpected," said Richardson.

During Gordmans' Grand Opening event this weekend, guests are eligible to receive gifts and gift cards and also enter drawings for even more prizes.
