From an Old Warehouse to a New Brewery;
Coming Soon To Meridian Township

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - A 4,000 square foot warehouse on Dawn Avenue just off Grand River Avenue is going to be converted into a brewery.

Ellison Brewery is being run by two friends from DeWitt, who are experienced in the business.

The brewery will have an industrial feel, as it's location suggests.

The brewery will distill, package, and distribute it's craft beers, in house wines, and spirits.

Eight beers will be on tap, and can be sampled, along with all the other adult beverages offered, in the brewery's tasting room.

The brewery is the first of it's kind in Meridian Township.

"This puts us on the beer map. There's no one here currently doing this kind of thing. It's really exciting that they chose a spot here in town as their home base. If they grow, we'll have a good success story out of our spot," said Peter Menser, Associate Planner for Meridian Township.

Beer can be taken home in 64 ounce "growlers" and 32 ounce "crowlers," which will be sealed for customers on site, to be enjoyed at a later date.

The brewery will create eight to ten jobs, and is occupying a currently vacant space.
