Extreme Cold Leads to Wind Chill

INGHAM COUNTY - Winter is in full force this year and a winter weather advisory in in effect.

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids have issued a Wind Chill Warning, remaining into effect until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29.

The wind chill will make it feel like it is between 15 to 35 below zero through Tuesday night.

Residents are advised to use caution when going outdoors and make sure all skin is covered. Any skin that's exposed to the cold for more than 15 to 30 minutes is vulnerable to frostbite.

Travel conditions will continue to be hazardous as temperatures will only reach the single digits above zero. Roads will remain icy.
