MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On October 25, 2013 at approximately 7:50 PM the Meridian Township Police Department responded to the report of a shooting on Fox Hollow Drive, in Okemos. The victim, Peter Basolo was found dead in the home as a result of a gunshot wound.

Greg Basolo, a 49 year old Okemos resident, was arrested and lodged in the Ingham County Jail on the night of the shooting. The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office issued a three count warrant charging him with open murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and using a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned on these charges at the 55th District Court in Mason and was returned to the Ingham County Jail where he is being held without bond while awaiting trial.

This incident remains under investigation by the Meridian Township Police Department.
