LANSING - The Michigan State Police is one step closer in the investigation of a car crash that took the life of Ingham County Deputy Grant Whitaker earlier this month.

John Kelsey II has been charged in the case with driving with a suspended license causing death as well as first-degree fleeing police. He was arraigned in the Ingham County 55th District Court on December 15th.

The Michigan State Police are now asking for the public's help finding the vehicle involved in the crash.

The vehicle is described as a white 2003 GMC Denali with a Michigan registration plate of CPP-6978. The plate may have been changed since the incident.

Those with information are asked to call the tip line at 517-331-5634.

The crash happened outside the village of Stockbridge near M-52 and Dexter Trail in the early hours of December 7th.
